1860's 3 Cent Nickel
The 3-cent nickel was first minted in Philadelphia during the Civil War era in 1865, and was circulated until 1889.

James P. Longacre's design shows a profile of Lady Liberty on the obverse, with a wreath and Roman numeral III on the reverse. It was never intended as a permanent issue and was the last 3-cent piece minted in the US.

You are guaranteed to receive one of the older 3-cent nickels dated from the 1860s.

Comes presented in a deluxe portfolio. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.
