Legend Of The Mercury Dime Set
Legend says that sculptor Adolf Weinman used the bust he'd created of his tenant, Elsie Stevens as his inspiration for designing Lady Liberty for the mercury dime in 1916.

Minted from 1916-1945, the dime featured Lady Liberty donned in a winged cap on the obverse, with fasces and an olive branch to represent war, justice, and peace on the reverse. 17.91-mm dime is composed of 0.900 fine silver.

Set includes 7 dimes, one from each of the following: Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints, and from each decade it was minted, 1910s, 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s.

Comes displayed in a protective book-style gold portfolio. Includes Certificate of Authenticity.
